Some dishes do not need much explanation. Warm bread, soft butter and a good salt are among them. This bread-and-butter supper is deliberately simple — and that is exactly why it is a beautiful place for natural Flor de Sal from Castro Marim.
Ingredients
- 4 slices good sourdough or country bread
- 80 g butter, softened
- jaramari Flor de Sal Natural
- radishes, chives or a few herbs, as desired
- freshly ground black pepper, optional
Method
- Toast the bread or warm it briefly in a hot pan.
- Spread generously with soft butter.
- Finish with a few crystals of Flor de Sal Natural. Thinly sliced radishes, chives or freshly ground pepper go well with it.
Why the salt comes at the end
The moist, delicate crystals of Flor de Sal remain visible on the butter and give a fine, clear accent when eaten. Nothing more is needed.
